A Tale of Two iPods!!

We decided to get the boys an iPod each for Christmas. They do Podcasting at school, so this way they can download and listen to them (and watch the video ones). When I got mine the other week, they both commented that they were going to save up for one out of their pocket money and birthday money and announced which colours they wanted (how easy was that to choose their colours!!??) We wrapped up their Docks and put them under the tree with everything else, so when they opened up the docks they were convinced that there was an iPod somewhere!! But no iPod appeared and beneath the tree was empty!! I reminded them that they said they were going to save up for one from any Christmas, Birthday and PocketMoney that they get. So they accepted this and moved on (I was very convincing!!) Then later in the afternoon - well after lunch - Zoe reminded me about them, so we sneakily placed them under the tree and announced that we wanted a photo of the boys and Zoe & Josh in front of the tree, then Zoe casually looked around and said "Oh, what are these, we missed some!!" I think the following picture says it all

Needless to say they were over the moon!! I had already loaded them up with Podcasts and some of their favourite music for them, and had them fully charged ready to go. (that was a marathon mission through the wee hours of the morning last wekk!!). They have all the old records that I listened to as a kid on them - silly songs which they love, their Pokemon CD etc, and they can download some newer stuff over the holidays!!

All in all we had a lovely Christmas Day, had a few drinks, lots of laughs, got out some old photos, played Harry Potter Cluedo!! How cool!! Zoe & Josh decided to stay another night. Then later in the evening my Boss and family came over with the most awesome Chrissy Pressie!! Which I will blog later when it is all filled and labelled!! WOW Thanks Wendy!! and Trevor, Eilish, Shelby & Kristen!!

Anyway, I am off to finish playing with my HUGE Pressie!! and then another Cluedo challenge is scheduled for a little later on!!

Teacher Gifts

I was running a bit late with getting my Teacher Gifts organised this year, but still wanted to make something special (I have a reputation to uphold!! hee hee). So I managed to put these together. The chocolate boxes were Kims yummy little boxes that hold the Cadbury Eight Moments Chocolates. I have used the (retired) Palette O Prints Designer Papers in Almost Amethyst and used Lovely Lilac Cardstock. The Stamp Sets used were Pick a Petal (whoops that was for christmas!! I shouldn't have used it yet!) and True Friend. A couple of flowers and a Rhinestone Brad from the Pretties Kit. I have stamped the petals onto the designer paper.
The boxes, I came across on ...Hmmm...can you hear the cogs?....Nope can't find it! and it's getting late. Anyway, I came across these cute boxes using acetate to make a clear box. So I had a play, I picked up some Clear Binder covers from Officeworks, made up a couple of boxes - like the bases in the 'box in a bags'. Used one for the base and one for the lid, for the green one with the Nut in it I made a slightly smaller box, only a couple of mm and put it inside so that the 'Nut' sits up so you can read the Message on it. Anyway, I scallopped the base and lid like with the bag in a boxes, stuck the acetate - which had been scored and bent to form the tube thing - in to the base, popped the lid on and tied it with a ribbon! (Hope that's not too cryptic!!) The 'Nut' I picked up from a little store at Garden City, they had heaps of Nuts (including me!!) It reads "Life is about dreams, a TEACHER makes them come true" they had one with another saying but I put that on the Notebook I made for Mr Fuller last year. I used up some left over dashing DP to decorate, and filled the Red one with Celebrations Chocolate Balls. I ws rather chuffed with them. Will have to think of something special for Mr Fuller next year as he will be finished with my two - after 3 years!! (Explanation - as he is the 4/5 teacher, he had Jayden last year for Yr 4, and has had both boys this year Jayden Yr 5 and Owen Year 4 and next year will have Owen for Yr 5!! confused?)
Well, as I said - it's late. we have our Chooks Christmas Breakky tomorrow morning so we need to be up and out by 6.30am, then I go to work after that, so a long day for me. I may not post before Christmas now so I wish everyone a safe and Happy Christmas!!

Donations to our School P & C Christmas Raffle

Here we have another little project that I was working on the other week. Donations for our schools P & C Christmas Raffle. Instead of just putting something in the basket, I thought I'd make up some handmade gifts. I came across the Milk Cartons on Becky Roberts blog, then she sent me the link to purchase the tutorial!! (Well worth it if you ask me!!) They are not that hard to make and are just adorable!! Then I couldn't go past 'Ye Old Treat Box', the Box in a Bag and the fantastic little Chocolate Folder that Kim made for the Eight Moments Chocolates. I took them up to the school yesterday, and our Principal and Office Lady (Registrar) loved them. (So much that I have been asked to make a couple of treat boxes up!!) I decided to stick with a theme using Dashing Papers and matching cardstock. Goodies inside are Treat Box - 600gm Box of Favourites, Box in a Bag - Pascal Memorables, Milk Cartons - Dove Individually Wrapped Chocolates 12 in each! and Eight Moments in Kims Folder thingy!!

Materials Used - Stampin Up! - Stamps - Rivetting, Snow Burst. Cardstock & Inks - Old Olive, Real Red, River Rock, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Water Colour Paper. Papers - Dashing DP. Accessories - Real Red & Old Olive Markers, Scallop Circle Punch, Round Tab Punch, 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" Circle Punches, Slit Punch, Antique Brass Jumbo Eyelets, 5/8" Real Read Grosgrain Ribbon, River Rock Double Stitched Ribbon. Harrsion's Card

Here is a quick(ish) card I put together the other night. Harrison's birthday was actually late November, but, as usual, time got away. It is actually a copy of another card I have done previously, and just changed the name and age!! He loved it though! Harrison is a 'dudey' kind of kid, so no cutesy 'wild about you' cards for him, nor bright colours, not even a cupcake! Skateboards and bikes etc for him!! I have used my Cricut, the Cuttin' Up Cartridge and have used Basic Grey Paper - I think they were called 'Hang Ten' (How appropriate!! haha)
I plan to photograph my donations for our school Christmas Raffle today, as I want to take them to school this arvo, so will try and post them tonight. Have a nice day! :-)

Yes! I am still here!!

No I haven't dropped off the face of the earth! Though my MOJO has! I have been working on a couple of little projects but time is just getting away from me and I have so much to do! and the increasing incidence of migraines isn't helping much!! I do hope to post a couple of projects this week!! (Hope to!!) Plus with a bit of luck I will have some exciting news to share next week!!
Till then, take care and stay sane!!

The Teenage Behaviour Code!

Hey there just me again!! Thought I'd share this little poem that I came across earlier in the year, that I popped in Caitlin's 13th card.

Advice for a new Teenager!

Start being very awkward
Refuse to eat your greens
Turn your room into a trash pile
It's the law, you've reached your teens!

Throw several tantrums daily
Become a right stroppy toad
You've got no choice you must obey
The Teenage Behaviour Code

It's said you'll get all grumpy
And spend too long in bed
Say "it's not fair" an awful lot
In your teenage years ahead

But these can be exciting times
Energetic, full of beans
Don't rush to be an adult
Take your time, enjoy your teens
I hope you enjoyed it!

A 'New' Life and a New Teen!!

Well they do say that life begins at 40 hey?! This morning I sat down and made myself make a couple of cards! One of the ladies at work is turning 40 so we needed a nice card for her and one of my besties daughters has just turned 13!! So a special card was needed there also! I have been pretty 'brain dead' of late, what with headaches and my two boys being 'boys' and getting a bit fiesty! I'm worn out! But anyway, it was nice to sit and create today! I am in a Holiday Harmony mood, as I have been making up (casing) some some lovely Christmas Cards of Marelles (seeing I have been brain dead and am so far behind!! and her cards - and everyone elses - are just lovely!!) Anyway, I decided to continue with the Pomegranate/Artichoke colour scheme, pulled out Ye Old Cricut Machine and whipped up a 40th! then went with the fresh look of Summer Picnic for the 13th card. I must say I think they turned out quite nice! I have had the Summer Picnic paper sitting in my room for a while and have not had much of a play, but now that I have I think I may need to get another pack (or two).

So anyway, first up we have the 40th Card

Materials Used - Stampin Up! - Cardstock & Inks - Purely Pomegranate, Always Artichoke, River Rock (Ink). DP - Holiday Harmony. Ribbon - Purely Pomegranate Striped Grosgrain (with white stitching removed) Other - K&Co RubOns, Kaiser Rhinestones, Cricut Alphalicious Cartridge.

And the 13th Card

Materials Used - Stampin Up! - Cardstock & Ink - Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Old Olive. DP - Summer Picnic. Stamps - Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Always (small flower). Ribbon - Bashful Blue Striped Grosgrain. Other - Rubons - Misc.
So there you go! todays creations. With a bit of luck I will get something made on Friday! So until then! Have a good week!

An Aussie Themed Card

Hey there! Well my friend Tracey needed to make up an Aussie Card, but hit a "black stump" (so to speak!) So she asked me if I could do one for her. I had a Blackboy stamp in my stash of non Stampin Up! stamps so dragged that out! and this is what I came up with. I have finished off the card using Stampin Up! products. The Blackboy has been stamped with Stazon Ink on Watercolour paper and I have coloured the image using my Aquapainter and Inks. The Happy Birthday and RIA are Rubons.

Materials Used - Stampin Up! - Cardstock & Inks - Bashful Blue, Basic Grey, Really Rust, Mellow Moss, Watercolour Paper. Accessories - Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware, Mellow Moss Taffeta Ribbon, Small Oval Punch, Sponge Daubers. Stamp Sets - Sanded. Other - Rubons. Stamps Set - Stamp It - Blackboy Floral

Yumm Spiders!!! (Huh?)

Hello there, guess what I have been doing ALL Day? Making these cute little spiders!! You see I had this wonderful idea (not!) At the boys school it is tradition (not sure how long it has been going for) but each year the year 4/5 class has a sleepover! It is an event that the kids have to earn through class points and is something that they really look forward to! and this year both of my boys are in the 4/5 class so Anthony and I get a (very rare) night to ourselves!! and seeing this years has fallen on Halloween I thought I'd make these cute spiders, that I found here. My original thought was to make two for each child, but quickly changed that to one with a few extras!! (40 in all!!) Each spider has been made with Stampin Up! Punches - 2 Scallops, 4 Photo Corners, 2 half inch circles and 3 quater inch circles per spider!!. The lower legs attached to the face scallop and the higher legs attached to the back scallop! Sandwiched between them are the yummy Dove Individually wrapped Chocolates. I have mainly used milk chocolate for them but there are some mint ones too. I would have started them about 9am and finished about 2ish this arvo!! Jayden and Marrisa pucnhed out all the scallops for me on Wednesday after school, I sat in front of the tele for about 2 hours last night glueing the coloured legs together and my friend Kathleen - who popped in for a coffee this morning - offered to punch out the little circles to day while I was starting to put them together! Even with all the help punching, it still took a while!! But they are cute hey? Jayden and Owen love them and want to make some up too, so that may happen on the weekend. Anyway, I am off to get them ready for the sleep over. Have a great weekend.

Materials Used - Stampin Up! - Cardstock - Basic Black, Yoyo Yellow, Real Red, Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise, Only Orange, Pixie Pink. Punches - Scallop Circle, Photo Corner, 1/2 Inch Circle, 1/4" Circle

Another Playboy Bunny Card

One of my nieces has just turned 15! (Happy Birthday Tahlia!) and I received a comment on my previous Playboy Bunny Card from her Mum saying that she would love a card like that as her whole room is decked out in Pink and Black with a Playboy Bunny Theme!! Well I can't disappoint so here is Tahlia's Card. (It was a bit late, but I got there!!) As you can see the Bunny opens up to reveal a Giftcard on the inside. (My DH Anthony is actually hiding behind the wall holding the back of the card in the second picture as the Bunny on the front is a bit 'front heavy' so with the flap open it kept toppling forward!! What a fantasstic photographers assistant! haha)

Materials Used - Stampin Up! - Cardstock & Inks - Basic Black, Pink Passion, Pixie Pink, Whisper White. Stamps - Sprinkles. Accessories - Hodge Podge Hardware - Pewter, Sponge Daubers, Versamark, Clear Embossing Powder, Slit Punch. Other - Ribbon, Rubons & Silver Gel Pen.

A Thankyou Gift

A few weeks back while checking in on the Demonstrator Website I noticed a little red '1' next to my Stampin Mail!! WOW!! A potential customer had contacted me through the Locator! Anyway, turns out I live just around the corner, so I popped a catalogue over to her and today had the great pleasure in delivering her "GOODIES" how exciting!! I also popped this KitKat Treat Pull Slide (thingy) in as a Thankyou for her first order!! As I told her that chocolate is mandatory when it comes to stamping!! haha. So here is a big Thanks to Cindy, and a welcome to the Addictive world of Stampin Up!! (waves to Cindy!!)

Materials Used - Stampin Up! - Cardstock & Inks - Real Red, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie & Bashful blue. DP - Summer Picnic. Accessories - Scallop Punch, 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" circle Punches. stamp Set - Think Happy Thoughts

A 'Case' of the Sesame Street Cuties!!

These two cards are totally cased! But who wouldn't they are just gorgeous!!!!! As soon as they started popping up on Blogs I knew I had to make them!! They are so bright and cheery and colourful!! I even made a Zoe!! as I have a Zoe, but for the life of me I can't find her (the paper one that is!! haha) I must keep looking as I want to put her on a card for the real one!! (confused yet?) Anyway, I am just going to go find which blogs I found these two cards on....I'll be back! I think I know where I am going.........Right the first one - The Filmstrip I found on Karens Blog!! Just love it!! I really admire Karens work and get all excited when 'Luvtostamp' is BOLD when I check my RSS Feeds!! So go check out her Blog!! Fantastic!!!! Now for the other one!! ....back soon...I am pretty sure it is Jean McKenzies, but I will get the link!... Back again - the ole' memory hasn't quite gone on me yet! I was right. Here it is The Four Square Sesame (Now Jean's is cased so check out her post for the original credit!) Once again check out Jean's blog too!! I love it. Thanks to Karen and Jean for your wonderful inspriation! My Zoe will be an original Caroline I promise!!

September Swap

Once again I participated in the S.O.S Swap and got my cards back on Friday, I was actually running late with mine, but after a late night, express post and an apology I got them there to be included!! (Thanks Roz). I had an email from Averil on Friday morning commenting on my card (thanks Averil), so I kept an eye out for the postie!! Good job I did! My envelope was ripped open and folded in half (even though I had included a cereal box for protection and stability when sending mine and for receiving back), it was sticking out of the back of the letter box gaping open with my swaps nearly falling out! About 10 mins after me retrieving them we had a downpour!! I was not impressed with Aussie Post at all!! Thankfully they were intact!! a few bends but hardly noticeable! Anyway, as usual here are the swaps that I received. Mine is at the top and then the seven cards I got back. They are from (Top to Bottom - Left to Right working in the columns) Lisa Johnston, Roz, Averil Lee, Coralee Moss, Cameron Bath, Melanie Dunstan & Ruth Bonser. Thanks everyone for your lovely samples.

Materials Used for my Swap - Stampin Up - Cardstock & Inks - Regal Rose, Rose Red, Whisper White, Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink ( for background stamping). I'm back with Paper Tole!!

Hi there peoples!! I got a request from my Bestie Denise the other day, she forgot to ask me to make a card for her friend Tracey. I've had no 'mojo' lately, have been tired and am running late with all my greeting cards at the moment. So this is what I came up with, late on Saturday night. I found this little bear in my stack of 3D sheets and seeing Denise LOVES bears I had to use it!! Everything else just flowed, I looked up on the shelf and saw the purple polka dot ribbon, which had been sitting there for a year and a week...(sorry channelling Pam Ayres there!! lol) Once again I just choose my colours from the main image. With this one I have gone with Bazzill Cardstock.

Materials Used - Main Image - Le Suh (not sure of the actual sheet name), Bazzill Cardstock - Serenade, Wisteria, Forget Me Not, Amber. Accessories - Ribbon from my stash on the shelf! Peel Offs

A trio of Posts!!

Hi there!! I haven't posted in a while so thought I'd better do something about it! My craft desk looks like a bombs hit it and yet I haven't achieved much in the last couple of weeks at all!! (sob sob *boo hoo*) I have posted the two cards that I made for my lovely friend Denise!! I spent the day with her yesterday and as I text my hubby Anthony when I got home "I am going for a lie down, I've had too much today! too much driving, too much talking, too much eating, too much coffee!! " I was exhausted! She lives a good 45 min drive away, (I drop the boys at school and head down to her place and leave in time to go straight to school to pick the boys up again) but it is always fun catching up, Denise isn't a cardmaker! she is a card buyer! and she relieved me of a pile yesterday - my boxes are looking empty again! Geez, now I am going to have to sit down and play with all my toys again!! What a chore (not!)

I have also been having a play with my punches and have made some of the cute Sesame Street Cards that are around, I searched for a Zoe, but couldn't find one I like so I created my own but she is still waiting to be put on a card, so I will share the Sesame Street cards later in the week. (I actually created a real life Zoe about 20 years ago!! This is who the punched Zoe is for!! hee hee)

Anyway, I hope everyone is well and till next time! Happy Creating!!

The Girls!!

Here is a collection of cards I made up from a sticker sheet I bought online somewhere! They are Creative Imaginations - Glamour Girl. I thought they were different and would make up a cute set of cards. All up there were 8 different 'Girls'. When I had finished up with them I thought "Hmm I wonder?" so I submitted them to my fave craft mag and they have accepted three of them! I am not sure when they will be published, so I will just have to wait and see. But for now I will share the remaining five cards with you! Once again I just start off with the image and choose my colours from there! If I can't match Stampin Up cardstock I hit the old Bazzill files!! So here we go....

Chocolate Girl

Stampin Up! - Cardstock & Inks - Basic Black, Real Red, Night of Navy, Confetti White. Other - Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Cuttlebug Bloom Dots Folder, Blue Brads.

Birthday Girl

Stampin Up! - Cardstock & Inks - Night of Navy, Confetti White. Stamp Set - Paisley Background. DP - Loves Me. Other - Pink Grosgrain Ribbon

Cosmopolitan Girl

Stampin Up! - Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Real Red, Very Vanilla. Stamp Set - Pailsey Background. Accessories - Chocolate Chip Wide Grosgrain, Red Grosgrain.

Glamour Girl

Bazzill Basics - Evening Surf, North Sea, Road Runner, Raven & White. Other - Rubons

Valentine Girl

Stampin Up! - Cardstock & Inks - Real Red, Very Vanilla, Basic Black. Accessories - Round Tab Punch. Other - Ribbon from my Stash. Cutttlebug Divine Swirls Embossing Folder.

So there you have it - The Girls!! I will post the other three after they have been published (hopefully).

Sean is 2

I had to make a special 2nd Birthday Card for my friend Denise's godson Sean! She sent me through a few photos as last year I made a card for his First Birthday with some photos on it! Looks like this is going to be ongoing so I had better start thinking of a different design for his third birthday!! haha. I had the idea of putting him in a car or truck cut out with my Cricut. The picture was in my head but do you think I could get the card to turn out the same!! No way!! But this is the end result! What do you think? My brain just wasn't working. I am sure Sean will love it anyway! The truck is cut out using the New arrivals Cartridge, the 2 is from Alphalicious. I will list the rest in the Materials List. Out of the three photos of Sean - none had him facing the correct way, I needed a side on pic with him looking toward to camera, so using my trusty photo editing software, I chopped his head out of one picture and popped it on the picture with him standing side on!! hee hee you can't really notice it!!

Materials Used - Stampin Up - Cardstock & Inks - Basic Black, Bordering Blue, So Sffron, Mellow Moss, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Creamy Caramel Ink. Accessories - Jumbo Eyelets, Crop-a-dile, Sponge Daubers, 1 inch Circle Punch, Linen Thread, Bordering Blue Marker. Other - Large Brad, Rubons

Another Wedding Card

This card is a straight case from Splitcoast, I only changed a couple of bits on it. I thought that it was lovely for a wedding card, stating the obvious!! Mr & Mrs!! Ben & Kathryn have been printed on cardstock on the computer and then the French Flair has been stamped on vellum, turned over to soften and sponged. I just love the Pomegranate Satin Ribbon! Love it!!

Materials Used - Stampin Up! - Stamp Sets - French Flair (retired), Taggers Dozen. Cardstock & Inks - Basic Black, Whisper White, Purely Pomegranate, Basic Grey. Accessories - Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon, Basic Grey Taffeta Ribbon, Black Brads, Small & Large Oval Punches, Round Tab Punch, Vellum, Sponge Daubers.

A Wintergreen Season

Well as I said earlier, I hit Splitcoaststampers for some ideas using Season of Joy and the Wintergreen DP. I came across loads of lovely cards and these are the ones that I decided to have a go at! I have been playing with them all day (while hiding form the kids!! - it's still school holidays in WA!)
All of the cards have basically used the same materials, so I will only list them once. I have made two of each and am all tuckered out. The plan is to recreate them with last years Holiday Thyme DP and also with the Dashing DP!! We'll see!!

Materials Used - Stamping Up! - Cardstock and Inks - Whisper White, Sage Shadow, Always Artichoke, Soft Sky, Certainly Celery. Stamps - Season of Joy, Crazy for Christmas. Accessories - Wintergreen DP, Sponge Daubers, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, Double Stitched Soft Sky Ribbon, Certainly Celery Gosgrain Ribbon, Versmark, White Embossing Powder. Other - Kaiser Rhinestones, Silver & Green Brads.

A Blue and A Dotti Christmas!!

Well, like I said ... I really liked the way the 'Enjoy' Chocolate Box turned out, so I sat down and maded the front of it as a Christmas Card!! I ended up churning out 8 of them!! I think it is a striking, yet simple Card!!
Materials Used - Stampin Up! Cardstock & Inks - Old Olive, River Rock, Very Vanilla & Real Red. Accessories - Sponge Daubers, Stampin Markers, Real Red Wide Grosgrain Ribbon, Dashing DP. Stamp It Stamp - Merry Over Christmas

As I was browsing the Blogs I read, I came across a card titled 'Too Blue?' made by Kylie Swain. My answer - No!! I loved it, so while I am on my Season of Joy kick!! I decided to recreate it. Instead of using Lovely as a Tree I have used SoJ and I have used Itty Bitty Backgrounds to stamp a background with the hollw circle stamp and randomly colour in some circles with my white gel pen! The tree also has the swirls covered in glitter. One of my friends also liked it and had promptly purchase all the 'bits' needed to make up a pile too!! Thanks for the inspiration Kylie!

Materials Used - Stampin Up - Cardstock & Inks - Brilliant Blue, Brocade Blue, Whisper White. Stamp Sets - Season of Joy, Itty Bitty Backgrounds. Accessories - Brocade Blue Wide Grosgrain Ribbon, White Gel Pen, Sponge Daubers, Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

World Cardmaking Day Lucky Dips!

Hi there!! I know I have been naughty!! I haven't posted in a while (sorry) I hope I can make up for it with a few posts over the next couple of days!! Here we have the 3D Items I made as Lucky Dips for World Cardmaking Day. Seeing we were making items using Dashing DP and the coordinating colours I kept with the theme with the 3D Items.
If we go left to right starting at the back we have --

3 x 3 Notecard Box - containing 4 Incentive Stamps and Chocolate Eclairs

Box in a Bag - containing 2 Stampin Spots and Chocolate Eclairs

Makeesha's Teabag Holder - containing Teabag, Golden Rough and a Ribbon Sampler

Treat Pull - containing Lindt Chocolate in one and a Ribbon Sampler in the other

Kim's 'Enjoy' Chocolate Box - containing 6 of the Eight Moments Chocolates and a Ribbon Sampler

Sour Cream Containers - containing either Incentive Stamps or Stampin Spots and Chocolate Eclairs!!.

So there they are!! I love them all, but my favourite would have to be Kim's 'Enjoy' Chocolate Box, so easy to make and everyone loved it!! Though next time I am going to omit the ribbon to tie it closed and pop a couple of velcro dots on the bottom edge to hold it shut, so that the ribbon isn't being tied and untied all the time. I liked the front of it, so I decided to create a stack of Christmas Cards based on it, so quick and easy!!

I have been having a lot of fun with 3D items at the moment. But am about to hit the Christmas Card scene with gusto!! I hit SCS last night and got some beautiful ideas for Season of Joy with the WinterGreen DP, so I will tackle them first, then recreate them all with the Holiday Thyme from last year and then attempt the same designs with Dashing DP and see how they all turn out!! Watch this space!!

I hope to post them over the weekend!! Till then, take care!

A Wedding Card

Mr Fuller is getting married!!

Mr Fuller is Jayden and Owen's teacher, and we couldn't let the occasion pass us by without a card, could we? I had this cute little Bride and Groom just waiting to be cut out and stuck together so I thought I'd use them (we all know of my love for Paper Tole!) and the Groom's little vest just matched perfectly with Soft Sky!! So that was my starting colour. The cute couple didn't look right on a plain white background so I added the little hearts from Itty Bitty Backgrounds. I decided to follow a sketch from Splitcoaststampers (SC126). The horizontal DP strip is from Fall Flowers and the vertical strip is Whisper White stamped with the hearts in Soft Sky. I have 'cuttlebugged' the background with a new folder I have acquired - Birds with Swirls. I had to actually cut the piece in half so the join is hidden under the vertical strip. Then it has been finished off with a bit of (yummy) Silver Hodgepodge, some little silver hearts and Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon! Oh and the Mr & Mrs is from Taggers Dozen. Whoops nearly forgot - the adorable little Bride and Groom are from the Morehead 3D Mini book.

Materials Used - Stampin Up! - Cardstock & Inks - Soft Sky, Whisper White. Stamp Sets - Taggers Dozen, Itty Bitty Backgrounds. DP - Fall Flowers. Accessories - Silver Hodgepodge, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon. Other - Mini Silver Hearts, Cuttlebug Folder Birds and Swirls. Main Image - Morehead Mini 3D Book.

I plan to have a chockie and a sample of something Stampin Up! in each 3D item that I make.

Hey there!! Well this is what we are making on World Cardmaking Day!! First up is a Card Pouch and 3 Cards. I got the idea from Kylies Blog, the cards have a few layers to them so I am only putting in 3. One of the designs I have cased but I cannot for the life of me find the blog I saw it on - so please if it is yours let me know and I will link it to you! Secondly we are making up a Giftcard Holder which I found on Makeesha's Blog, on the front of this is the Main word stamp from Season of Joy, but unfortunately my flash has blurred it out, and finally we are making one of those gorgeous Box in a Bag thingys!! They are everywhere at the moment and so easy to make. Hopefully my ladies will have a ball, and we will all get a headstart on some Christmas items.

Materials Used - Stampin Up! - Cardstock & Inks - River Rock, Old Olive, Real Red, Very Vanilla. Stamp Sets - Season of Joy, Riveting. Accessories - Scallop Circle Punch, Round Tab Punch, 1 3/8' Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Dashing DP, River Rock Double Stitched Ribbon, Very Vanilla 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Crop-o-Dile & Jumbo Eyelets, Stampin Dimensionals.

Happy Father's Day DAD!!

Jayden and Owen wanted to make Shirt Cards for Anthony for Father's Day. They had to be basically the same as the ones that I made before. They first chose their paper and then we decided the colours from there. Using the cuttlebug was also a MUST! The boys did most of the folding for the shirt and the punching and some of the sticking, though they weren't confident enough to actually place the bits on the card, so I had to do that. I think they chose well.

Jayden's is the top card. He has used East Coast Prep for his shirt and we have used Wild Wasabi, Real Read and Tempting Turquoise cardstock. We made the tie out out the wide Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon. The Happy Fathers day is stamped using All Year Cheer 2, and we found the ribbon in my stash. I am pretty sure is from American Crafts? Don't quote me though!

Next is Owen's card. He has used Jersey Shore for his shirt, teamed with Pumpkin Pie, Brilliant Blue and Wild Wasabi cardstock. Owen has punched and repunched the scallop, used Riveting for his greeting and a bit of Bashful Blue and Brilliant Blue punched with the circle punches. His ribbon and buttons were found in my stash. This ribbon was also American Crafts? and the buttons are from one of those packs you find at Spotlight.

Hope you like them!!

A friend of ours has just had a baby girl - Pia Elizabeth - such a cute name! So seeing I have come across a couple of these 'Onsies' (Really not sure on how to spell it!!) I thought I'd have a go. So this is my first attempt. The template for this particular style can be found on SCS and the designer is Laura Lynn. I have had fun making it, so will definately make a few more soon.

Intermediate Champion Boy!!

Yesterday was our school sports carnival! (I missed most of it with a nasty headache) but the boys did great!! I arrived just in time to see Jayden receive his medal for Intermediate Champion Boy!! WOW!! Well done Jayden!! But, the winning faction was........BICKLEY! Owen's faction, they beat Ellis (Jayden's Faction) by 5 points!! So they both achieved on the day in their own way!
Well done Jayden and Owen!!

Pomegrantate Satin Ribbon! Yum!!!

Hello there!! I have been having a play with my NEW (absolutely Gorgeous!!) Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon that I received last week!! Yummy or what!!?? The first card, is again, a paper tole. I bought some beautful 3D Mini Books from Sandy Jane Designs (for those who have asked where I get my 3D sheets from - this is the place!! 90% at least!!!) This cute little guy is from the Morehead Mini 3D Book. While cutting him out, the pomegranate ribbon came to mind as matching his ribbon on the hat!! and it is a near perfect match!! I love taking the colours out of the 3D image to choose my background colours as they nearly always end up being interesting colour combinations that I normally wouldn't put together. I am really pleased with this one, simple but nice. (oh and the strip across the middle looks a bit crooked but believe me is it straight - to the mm!! Some people call me a perfectionist!! I have no idea why!? *hee hee*)

Materials Used - Main Image - Morehead 3D Mini Book. Bazzill Cardstock - Twig, Cinnamon Stick, Mocha Divine. Stampin Up! - Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon. Rubons - Me & My Big Ideas - Love Sayings.

I then started playing with Kristen's Birthday Card Challenge, but with having a 'not so good' week last week 'ye olde brain cells' weren't working as they should!! I had to make a card with the Playboy Bunny on it. I found the pic on the internet, printed it up, cut it out, used my Heat 'n Stick Powder (for the first time!! - and definately not the last!! LOVE IT), then coated it in Dazzling Diamonds (again first time!!) The Playboy Bunny is usually black but sometimes pink, so not wanting to use a pinky pink I went with shades of Pink Bazzill Bling, and the pomegranate ribbon matched in perfectly. I wanted to put 'Happy Birthday' on the front but just couldn't seem to get anything to look right, so popped it on the inside instead!

Materials Used - Bazzill Bling - In the Pink, Diva, Black Tie & Diamond. Stampin Up! - Purely Pomegrate Satin Ribbon, Heat 'n Stick Powder, Dazzling Diamonds

Thanks again ladies! My card is above and the materials used are listed below!! Now I need to work out what I am doing for the next one!!

Crabby Surprise Slider Card

I popped down to pick a stamp up from Averil this week and she gave me the instructions for this card, and the popsicle card and the Dress that is like the 'onsies'. Thanks Averil - Will have a play with all of them eventually. I had to give this one a go though, as it is so cute! I went to the original tutorial online at Dawns Stampin Studio and just loved the way she used Crab & Company! so I had to case them! Which I did in 4 colours!! (haha Love them!) I put mine on a card front though, so you can still write in the card, stand it up or hang it over the venetian blinds (like we do with cards in out family!! One window is allocated to cards). They were so easy to make and adjusting the instructions to suit our A6 cards - piece of cake!

Materials Used - Stampin Up! - Cardstock & Markers - Bashful Blue, Almost Amethyst, Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Basic Black. Stamp Set - Crab & Company. Other - White card for base, googly eyes & Crystal Stickles, black gingham ribbon, stapler.

They are SOOO easy you've gotta give them a go!! I'm off to see what other stamp sets will suit to make some more!
