Paper tole Christmas Cards

Have I mentioned how much I love Paper Tole? I know it is time consuming and fiddly, but I just love the end results!! These cards have been made with some 3D papers I found on ebay. I took them with me when we went down to Busselton for a three day break in September. It rained the whole time we were there, but we still had fun. I finally put them on cards a few weeks back. The two bottom ones are my favourites, there are another two also that are the opposite (puppy on burgandy/green stripe & bear on green). Again I have used patterened papers from HOTP - which have been hiding in my cupboard for a year (or two!!) The Yellow & Red card also features a greeting from Stampin Up! All Year Cheer.

Baby Announcements!!

Yay!! I can finally share these on my Blog!! as my sister has now received them!! She hasn't had the baby yet, but now has to cross her legs a little longer, apparently Wade (her Partner) was quote "dead impressed with them. So much so, that he was wondering if we could possibly get about 20 or 30 more made." Apparently their circle of family and friends extends a little further than Jenni anticipated!! So here I go again, cutting out 120 ovals, 60 rectangles, colouring 30 giraffes!..........ho hum. But I will get them done coz I love her so much!!!
Materials used for Baby Announcements Stamps - Stamping Up! Bundle of Joy, Canvas, Swell News. Inks - Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery. Cardstock - Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Confetti Cream. Ribbon - Grosgrain Chocolate Chip, Cream. Packaging - Reused Simply Sent Boxes.

Paper Doll Santas!!

WOW I just love my Cricut!! and the Paper Dolls Dress Up Cartridge would have to be one of my favourites at the moment. It is very time consuming to cut out all the bits and then stick them all together but the end results are so cute!!! As it is coming in to Christmas my craft ladies and I decided to give Santa a work out!! These are the cards we came up with. The top three are based on Tracey's design and the others are mine. The background papers are from HOTP Christmas Papers.

Frangipanis and Tiger Lillies

I made these cards a while ago after a visit to a 'not so local' craft store!! (Collins Craft and School Supplies) They had some beautiful cards on display that they had made using these shimmery flower papers. So I bought up what supplies I needed and came home to recreate them. I am really pleased with how they all turned out! The last card "Thanks" also uses my Cuttlebug, Cricut AND the Ribbon Weave Punches that I "Had to Have" last year!! They also use Rubons and various flowers and embellishments from my collection.

I am NOT Smarter than a 5th Grader! (Nor a 3rd Grader for that Matter!!)

Oh Dear! As I am trying to get creative at my craft desk I am distracted by the new Wii game my dear Hubby bought home today! Big Brain Academy Wii Degree!! Well we all enrolled and did our little tests!! Mumzy first, then Owen - 8, (yes he beat me!), then Jayden - 10, (who beat Owen and Me!), then Dadzy (who also beat me!! but came between the boys!!) Hmmm, my thinking is that their reflexes are better than mine! Yes that's it! I am more suited to the delicate art of Cardmaking. All that colour matching, precision cutting, steady handed placements! etc. Yes that is a much better skill than click click click I am the fastest (and more accurate) and therefore brainiest!! Convincing story? Maybe not. Anyway, I sulked off back my desk and made some more cards.

I had no inspiration after suffering a two day migraine-a-thon this week, so went to have a cuppa with my friend Angie, who had made two gorgeous cards that she cased from a card on kwernerdesign blog. I bought one home to make up and when I reached up to get something off the shelf above my desk a fairy that I had already made up fell onto my card!! Screaming (as fairies do) "don't I look great with these colours!!" So I made up a card and went from there! That is how these four were born!! I think they are cute! same sort of style two colour themes. So tell me - What do you think???

These cards have been made using the gorgeous 3D paper sheets by Morehead Designs, and these cute fairies are die cut so you just pop them out and stick them together (but I did do a little trimming here and there as I hate untidy edges!!) Very time consuming but beautiful!!

Materials Used for Fairy Cards Bazzill Cardstock - Ivy, Pear, Juneberry, Cameo. Patterned Paper - from HOTP Cardmakers Creative Packs Earth's Pallette & Pretty. Stampin Up Antique Brass Hodgepodge Hardware.

And here are the pics of the cards that I cased from Angie!! Thankyou Angie for the inspiration I got from your gorgeous cards!!

Materials used for Angies Cards Bazzill Cardstock - Fern, Moss, Juneberry, Cameo. Patterned Paper - HOTP Cardmakers Creative Kits Pretty, Earth Tones. Stamp - Stampin Up Greetings Galore.

Anyway, I had better toddle!! I hope you enjoy these cards. I must go and start organising kids school stuff!! Swimming lessons start tomorrow!!

I have heaps of other cards to load and show!! I found a stack the other day that I hadn't scanned yet!! and I thought I hadn't been very productive!! LOL

Till next time

World Carmaking Day

Hi there Everyone!! well my WCMD event was a success!! It was really the first 'workshop' type event that I have done since becoming a Stampin Up! Demonstrator. I had 7 ladies attend plus me! and a few kids, the older ones made cards too (and very nice ones I might add!) We all had a ball. I put the 4 Simply Sent Kits on the table and said "Go for it!" I had already made up 20 samples (5 for each kit) for them to use as a guide. In all there were about 55 cards made. I gave them all a small incentive stamp each to take home with their cards, and all orders received a raffle ticket for every $20 spent!! The raffle was a collection of Cardmaking Supplies. If sales reached $300 I said that I would also raffle off the Hostess stamp set. Well, I was absolutely blown away when sales reached a staggering $1200!!!! Pretty good for a first workshop hey!!??

The two ladies in the first picture, Angie and Tracey, are my craft ladies! We have been making cards together one day a week for the last 2 - 3 years. Our craft meetings started off with me showing them how to do Tea Bag Folding, and our craft days and friendships grew from there!! Now I don't know where I would be without them!! They are now nearly as addicted to Stampin Up! as me!!

The second picture, Debbie, is a friend I met in Year 7 (not so many years ago - ha ha) who has been cardmaking for a while, we don't catch up as often as I would like so it was lovely to have her come down and join in the Fun!! I think she may have caught the Stampin Up! bug too!!

Finally Brenda!! she thought that she would be the one that just sat there and chatted to everyone, well, she ended up making four cards and had a ball! She was so pleased with what she made and it felt so lovely to have given her that feeling of accomplishment!! Now she can't wait for her order to come in so she can continue to 'play'!!

So all in all it was a fun and very successful day!! I am now thinking about what I can do bigger and better to celebrate WCMD 2008!!

Well it's late. Must toddle off. Will try to have cards to load soon.
